ClipForge ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We are committed to collecting only what is necessary to provide the Service.

2. Data We Collect

ClipForge is designed to minimize data collection. We collect:

  • Anonymous access token — A randomly generated token stored in your browser to identify your account. It is not linked to any personal information.
  • Credit balance and usage — We track your credit count, subscription tier, and generation history to provide the Service.
  • Text prompts — Your prompts are sent to our AI provider to generate videos. Prompts are not stored on our servers after processing.
  • Reference images — If you upload a reference image for image-to-video generation, it is sent directly to our AI provider (fal.ai) for processing. Images are not stored on our servers. We do not retain, copy, or share uploaded images beyond what is necessary for video generation.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

  • No email address or password
  • No real name or personal identity
  • No credit card or debit card numbers
  • No IP address tracking or fingerprinting
  • No cookies for advertising or tracking purposes

4. Payment Processing

All payments are handled by PayPal. When you subscribe or purchase credits, you are redirected to PayPal's secure checkout. ClipForge never sees, stores, or processes your payment details (card numbers, bank info, etc.). PayPal's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.

5. Third-Party AI Processing

Your text prompts and any uploaded reference images are sent to fal.ai, our AI video generation provider, to create your videos. Prompts and images are processed in real-time and are subject to fal.ai's own data handling policies. We do not store prompts or uploaded images on our servers after the video is generated.

6. Local Storage

ClipForge uses your browser's localStorage to store:

  • Your anonymous access token
  • Credit count and subscription tier (for display purposes)
  • Recent generation history (video URLs stored locally in your browser)

This data stays on your device and is never sent to third parties. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser data.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Data is only shared with:

  • PayPal — for payment processing
  • fal.ai — for AI video generation
  • Supabase — for secure database storage (credits, account status)

8. Data Retention

Account data (anonymous token, credits, subscription status) is retained as long as the account is active. Generated videos are hosted temporarily by our AI provider and are not stored permanently by ClipForge. We do not retain prompts after video generation.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request deletion of your account data
  • Clear your local browser data at any time
  • Cancel your subscription at any time
  • Request information about what data we hold
